In October 2025, Széchenyi István University and the city of Győr hosted the 3rd Danube Cup International Entrepreneurship Development and Research Conference, which brought together speakers, researchers, invited guests and organizers from 15 countries.

Our project partners, Dr. Orsolya Gergely (Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences of Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania and the Romanian lead of the RE-FEM) and Dr. Katalin Oborni (Senior Project Manager at the Hétfa Research Institute and coordinator of the RE-FEM project) delivered a joint presentation, titled Turbulent Waters, Greening Horizons: Women Entrepreneurs Navigating Crises in Hungary and Romania. They presented the crisis management and adaptation strategies of female entrepreneurs in Hungary and Romania.

Following the presentation of Dr. Orsolya Gergely and Dr. Katalin Oborni, they co-chaired a discussion with Dr. Márta Konczos Szombathelyi, titled Women Entrepreneurship in a Fast-Changing World. The session explored the role, challenges and opportunities of women entrepreneurs in a rapidly changing economic environment.

The 3rd Danube Cup conference served as a valuable meeting point for researchers and entrepreneurs from the Danube region.
